Overview Join our dedicated mental health team as a Mental Health Therapist, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across diverse populations. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to deliver psychotherapy and crisis intervention in outpatient office setting. You will work closely with adult clients with severe mental illness, supporting their mental health journeys with professionalism and empathy. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Provide individual counseling sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical research findings and best practices in behavioral health. Document all patient interactions meticulously in electronic medical records (EMR) while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, legal professionals, and families to coordinate comprehensive care. Experience Proven experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, addiction counseling, grief counseling or related fields within outpatient or inpatient settings. Familiarity with crisis intervention protocols and crisis management procedures across diverse populations. Hands-on experience with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical documentation standards. Knowledge of behavior therapy for various conditions including PTSD care and chronic pain counseling. Experience documenting services via electronic medical records with a focus on patient confidentiality with accurate and timely notation.
