Competitive, based on experience and credentials Position Summary TSI Cares Network is seeking a compassionate, trauma-informed Mental Health Therapist to provide individual, family, and group counseling services to children, adolescents, and young adults participating in our residential, foster care, and independent living programs. This position is ideal for a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI), Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI), or Master's-level Social Worker (MSW) seeking experience working with youth who have experienced trauma, behavioral challenges, and complex family dynamics. The therapist will work closely with residential staff, case managers, schools, caregivers, and community partners to develop individualized treatment plans that promote healing, stability, and long-term success. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Services Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based and trauma-informed practices. Complete biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation. Conduct crisis intervention and safety planning as needed. Monitor client progress and revise treatment plans accordingly. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings. Residential Support Provide on-site therapeutic support within TSI Cares Network residential homes. Consult with Residential Coaches and House Managers regarding behavioral interventions. Assist with behavioral de-escalation and crisis response. Develop behavior support recommendations for youth receiving residential services. Collaboration Coordinate services with schools, case management agencies, guardians, healthcare providers, and referral partners. Participate in staffing meetings and discharge planning. Maintain professional relationships with community providers and referral sources. Documentation & Compliance Complete progress notes within agency-required timelines. Maintain compliance with Medicaid, commercial insurance, and agency documentation standards. Protect client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Maintain clinical records within the agency's electronic health record system. Professional Development Participate in weekly clinical supervision (if applicable). Attend required staff meetings and trainings. Maintain required continuing education and professional licensure requirements. Contribute to a positive, collaborative clinical culture. Qualifications Required Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related behavioral health field. Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI), Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI), or Master's-level Social Worker (MSW). Eligible to provide counseling services in the State of Florida. Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to travel throughout the Jacksonville area for community-based services. Preferred Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults. Experience with foster care, child welfare, juvenile justice, or residential treatment. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, attachment, and behavioral interventions. Experience using electronic health records. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong clinical assessment and counseling skills. Understanding of trauma, grief, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and child development. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to establish rapport with youth and families. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to diversity, cultural competence, and client-centered care. Physical Requirements Ability to travel between office, residential homes, schools, and community locations. Ability to participate in crisis intervention when necessary. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive for extended periods. Work Schedule Full-Time (40 hours per week) Primarily Monday through Friday Occasional evenings based on client needs Participation in an on-call rotation may be required Performance Expectations Performance will be evaluated based on: Timely completion of assessments and treatment plans.
