Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Centered Play Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing child-centered play therapy. Collaborate closely with families, schools, and community agencies to coordinate care and provide family counseling that promotes positive outcomes. Collect and maintain accurate clinical documentation, medical records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines. Engage in crisis intervention and conflict management to support children experiencing acute emotional or behavioral challenges. Participate in case management activities including intake procedures, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and data collection for ongoing evaluation of therapeutic effectiveness. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related mental health field; licensure or certification as a Child or Play Therapist preferred. Proven experience working with children and families in Child Centered Play Therapy OR willingness to engage in ongoing professional development in CCPT. Strong knowledge of child development, behavioral health disorders, trauma-informed care, and applied behavior analysis. Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, and medical records management under HIPAA guidelines. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental delay, PTSD care needs, or other special education requirements is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds using culturally sensitive counseling approaches. Excellent communication skills for client engagement, family collaboration, and interdisciplinary teamwork. Willingness to participate in community based services for marketing and outreach purposes.
