In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy to diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help individuals navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. Embrace the flexibility of a part-time schedule while making a meaningful difference in people's lives through innovative clinical practices and telehealth services. Duties Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy. Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions utilizing modalities like psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Deliver crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies. Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, clinical documentation standards, and medical terminology requirements within EMR/EHR systems. Facilitate intake assessments and coordinate case management for clients with co-occurring disorders or complex needs. Engage in ongoing research and data collection to inform treatment approaches and improve patient care outcomes. Complete timely clinical documentation and treatment plans Follow all applicable ethical, professional, and Florida licensing standards Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, and other providers when clinically appropriate and properly authorized Maintain an agreed-upon weekly schedule Participate in occasional consultations or practice meetings Maintain independent professional liability insurance Requirements Valid state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, LPC) with current certification to practice independently. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Strong background in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, social work principles, and evidence-based practices such as psychopharmacology integration where applicable. Experience providing telehealth therapy services using secure platforms compliant with HIPAA standards. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, medical records management, and clinical documentation standards. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively with excellent crisis management skills. Familiarity with inpatient/outpatient settings, hospital experience preferred. Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
