Job Summary • This job posting is for a 5 day work week schedule to include Saturday/Sunday• We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Master Level Substance / Mental Health Primary Therapist to join our dedicated behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will deliver evidence-based mental health and substance use disorder treatments, conduct comprehensive client assessments, and develop individualized care plans. Your expertise will support clients through their recovery journey, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities including psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and group therapy. Duties 1. Demonstrates knowledge of chemical dependency and addictions and utilizes knowledge and skills to access and meet the client's treatment needs and requirements. 2. Documents on a regular basis within the electronic medical record - client chart. 3. Facilitates team interaction for discharge planning regarding client chemical dependency issues and needs. 4. Shares pertinent information with treatment team as obtained from client, client's family members, or significant others. 5. Participates as a team member in all treatment team meetings and provides input regarding clients and chemical abuse and dependency treatment needs and requirements. 6. Discusses with clients relapse warning signs and relapse prevention techniques and strategies and develops plans accordingly. 7. Documents provided services in progress notes in a clear, concise, timely manner. 8. Assist the client(s) in developing measurable chemical dependency related discharge goals and objectives. 9. Provides pertinent client information based on chemical dependency evaluation, and group and individual session interactions, to assist in the client treatment process. 10. Assists in developing chemical abuse and dependency aspects of treatment plans and treatment plan updates in collaboration with other treatment team members. 11. Acts as a liaison to community agencies providing chemical dependency and abuse services. 12. Provides community awareness education and in-services on behalf of the agency. 13. Knowledge of program policies and procedures. 14. Shares pertinent information with team as obtained from clients or family throughout program. 15. Collaborates with the medical staff to provide chemical dependency treatment services. 16. Attends daily staffing meetings. 17. Documents client progress/regression according to established policies and procedures 18. Continues with educational courses and in-services training, per policies and procedures 19. Maintains up to date competencies. 20. Updates knowledge of community resources on a continuous basis. 21. Maintains CPR certification. 22. Conducts chemical dependency group and individual counseling sessions. 23. Responds positively to changing situations in the work setting. 24. Ability to work as a team member, demonstrating maturity under stress and objectivity. 25. Demonstrates good communication skills. 26. Performs in a professional manner and role models a positive image of mental health. 27. Reports abuse of clients' rights immediately. 28. Participates in obtaining the client's informed consent for procedures, treatments, and research, as appropriate. 29.

Knowledge re:

Baker Act procedure, and knowledge of team member's responsibilities in Baker Act situations. 30. Provides groups as scheduled. 31. Participates in Performance Improvement monitoring and evaluating activities. 32. Acts decisively and effectively in managing staff, clients, and other employees during emergency situation. 33. Performs other capacities as needed. 34. Recognizes and acknowledges and treats co-occurring issues by helping client to adhere to medication management as well as established protocols for different diagnoses. 35. Participates in the clinical on-call rotation 36. Sign off on all therapist notes in EMR in appropriate time frames. 37. Become proficient of JCAHO, AHCA and Medicaid rules and regulations. Experience Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology or related field from an accredited institution. Proven experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions in outpatient or inpatient settings. Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy modalities including behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and clinical documentation standards. Experience conducting intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations using DSM-5 criteria, and patient assessment tools. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR management systems), medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and medical terminology. Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to manage behavioral crises effectively while maintaining patient confidentiality. Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds while applying culturally competent care practices.

Pay:

$51,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
