Travel Therapist Job Duties/Responsibilities Conduct therapeutic groups for patients. Interview and develop psychological histories, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family. Develop appropriate treatment objectives and weekly treatment summaries. Act as the patients' and families' primary contact during the patient's stay as well as their advocate with the treatment team. Work as a liaison with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family. Provide high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients' functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients' treatment team. Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient. Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations.
