Job Description

New Beginnings Counseling Service is seeking a full-time, licensed Child and Family Therapist to join our dedicated clinical team to provide outpatient therapy in the office with the option of a local school one day a week. Due to an abundance of referrals, we are expanding our capacity to meet the growing needs of the community. Our diverse and collaborative team offers outpatient therapy services to children, adults, couples, and families. We pride ourselves on a supportive and ethical work environment, where clinicians are encouraged to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact. Key Responsibilities Provide individual and family therapy with children and adolescents. Address a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, trauma, and family systems issues. Maintain clinical documentation in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with colleagues for case consultation and treatment planning.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and trauma-informed care. Experience or interest in play therapy. Professionalism and a commitment to ethical standards and integrity. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. A passion for continued learning and clinical development. Requirements Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related human services field. Licensed to practice in Iowa (LMHC, LMSW, LISW, LMFT, etc.). Clinical supervision will be provided. Preference given to candidates with full licensure and play therapy training or interest in developing this specialty.
