Children's Therapist (Child & Adolescent Focus) Fash Counseling, an established private practice located in Bolingbrook , Illinois, is seeking a Children's Therapist to join our team! Fash Counseling is dedicated to the growth and development of our clients and our clinicians. Our therapists value the opportunity to build deep, meaningful relationships with clients and enjoy the flexibility that private practice provides. We provide individual, family, and couples therapy, as well as collaborative services and consultation for clients seeking an alternative to litigated divorces. We are specifically seeking a clinician who is passionate about working with children and adolescents and who can provide developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and strengths-based care. The ideal candidate will be independent, focused, motivated, and collaborative—a strong addition to our team of therapists that will enhance the practice and the growth of our clients.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents ; family sessions as clinically indicated
  • Conduct intake assessments, create treatment plans, and maintain appropriate documentation
  • Utilize developmentally appropriate interventions (e.g., play therapy, expressive therapies, CBT, DBT-informed skills)
  • Collaborate with parents/caregivers, schools, and other providers when appropriate
  • Manage and maintain a full-time caseload (minimum of 25 clients) once paneling and referrals are established
  • Maintain scheduling and timely documentation in accordance with practice policies
  • Participate in team meetings, consultation, and supervision as needed
Candidate Requirements:
  • Full licensure : LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD
  • LPC and LSW will be considered
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree required
  • Minimum two years post independent licensure experience preferred (or strong training with children/adolescents)
  • Previous private practice experience highly desirable
  • Flexible hours including evenings and some weekends
  • Special interest and experience in working with children and adolescents required
  • Experience with common childhood concerns (anxiety, ADHD, behavior concerns, trauma, family transitions) preferred
  • Ability to independently manage caseload, scheduling, and clinical decision-making
  • Willingness to market self and build referral base with the practice
