At Calm Mind Counseling Center, we believe therapists do their best work when they have strong clinical support, room to grow, and are surrounded by colleagues who also care deeply about the quality of treatment. We are a trauma-focused group practice committed to ethical care and thoughtful professional development. We are looking for a therapist who wants to deepen their trauma-focused skills and contribute to a collaborative clinical team. You will have autonomy in your work, supportive supervision, clear expectations, and administrative support as you build a sustainable caseload. Clinical support and growth You will participate in weekly group supervision and regular individual supervision. Individual supervision adjusts as your clinical skills and independence grow, while continuing to support your licensure needs. Required supervision and team meetings are compensated under Calm Mind's pay schedule. We provide EMDR Basic Training through the EMDR Institute and consultation support, including opportunities to work toward certification. What you'll do Provide individualized, trauma-informed outpatient therapy and develop meaningful treatment goals with clients. Assess and monitor risk, maintain a useful case conceptualization, and adjust treatment as clients' needs change. Complete progress notes within 48 hours of service and review treatment plans and case conceptualizations at least every 90 days. Bring clinical questions and concerns to supervision promptly and use feedback to strengthen your work. Work with our administrative team to maintain client access and a sustainable caseload. After a three-month ramp-up, the full-time expectation is at least 19 kept client appointments per week . Therapists maintain 27 weekly appointment openings , including at least eight hours of evening or weekend availability . We work with you to build a schedule that considers your availability and client needs. Who you are You do not need to arrive as an EMDR expert. We are looking for someone who is curious, candid when they are uncertain, and committed to doing careful clinical work.
Required:
An active Illinois LPC, LSW, LCPC, or LCSW license, or completion of the applicable licensure exam and all other requirements while waiting for the state to issue your license number A foundation in trauma-informed care, assessment, and outpatient treatment The ability to build trust with clients and navigate difficult clinical conversations Sound judgment, dependable follow-through, and timely documentation Willingness to seek consultation, receive feedback, and keep learning

EMDR training or experience in trauma-focused treatment Experience with a population or specialty you would like to develop further Compensation and benefits This is a W-2, commission-based role . Therapists earn 45%-55% of net collected clinical revenue: 45% for clinicians who have passed their licensure exam and are waiting for the state to issue their license number, 50% for LPC/LSWs, and 55% for LCPC/LCSWs. At an illustrative average collection of $130 per appointment, this equals approximately $58.50-$71.50 per completed appointment. Actual earnings depend on collections, appointment volume, and licensure level. We offer additional compensation incentives for clinicians who reach higher kept-appointment thresholds. Payroll is biweekly and reflects revenue collected during the preceding pay period.

Flexible paid leave: Earn one hour for every 40 hours worked, usable for any reason. The accrual rate increases with tenure.
Paid holidays:
Calm Mind closes on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Full-time therapists receive seven hours of pay for each holiday, separate from their earned paid leave.
Paid sick time:
Full-time therapists receive 21 hours each year for illness, medical appointments, or caring for an eligible family member. This is separate from flexible paid leave. Medical, dental, and vision insurance , with Calm Mind contributing to a portion of the employee premium, subject to eligibility. A 401(k) plan and employer-provided life and accidental death insurance. Practice-provided malpractice coverage of $1 million per occurrence/$5 million aggregate. An annual professional development stipend and continuing education access Administrative support for intake, scheduling, insurance, and billing, plus practice-wide marketing and electronic health record tools.
