Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic behavioral health team as a Non-Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist, where your passion for mental health and commitment to patient care will make a meaningful difference. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate support and evidence-based interventions to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping skills, and achieve their wellness goals within a supportive and collaborative environment. Duties Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and patient evaluations using clinical documentation standards and ICD coding (ICD-9, ICD-10) to inform treatment planning. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management techniques to ensure patient safety during acute episodes. Assist in developing personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical ethical guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and best practices in behavioral health. Support patients with co-occurring disorders through integrated case management and behavioral health services. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems while adhering to confidentiality standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, and educators—to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Requirements Experience working with children, youth, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Knowledge of psychotherapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and gender issues counseling. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, medical terminology, and clinical documentation standards. Prior experience in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and trauma-focused therapy. Ability to conduct mental health assessments and psychological testing within outpatient or inpatient settings. Strong communication skills for client engagement and professional collaboration; experience with telehealth therapy is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, clinical ethical guidelines, and medical records management. Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders or disabilities is highly valued. Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field; relevant certifications or training in behavioral health preferred but not required for non-licensed roles.
