As a key member of our mental health team, you will deliver evidence-based interventions, conduct comprehensive assessments, and provide individualized and group therapy tailored to children and adolescents. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on child & youth therapy, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health strategies. Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate mental health status, developmental needs, and behavioral concerns using established diagnostic evaluation standards. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Implement evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy for children, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing to address diverse student needs. Collaborate with school staff, families, and external providers to coordinate case management efforts and facilitate effective crisis intervention when necessary. Maintain accurate medical records and social work documentation tools to track progress, treatment outcomes, and compliance with medical terminology standards. Engage in ongoing professional development related to adolescent development, cultural diversity counseling, special education requirements, and conflict management techniques. Requirements Bachelor's or master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field; licensure or certification as required by state law for clinical social work or mental health counseling. Proven experience working with children and adolescents in school-based counseling settings or similar environments. Strong knowledge of crisis management protocols, trauma-informed care practices, and PTSD care strategies. Familiarity with medical documentation standards, medical terminology, and electronic health record systems such as social work documentation tools. Ability to perform patient assessment accurately while demonstrating sensitivity to cultural diversity counseling needs. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for working effectively with families, school personnel, and multidisciplinary teams.
