Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Clinical Associate (LMHCA) to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and clinical evaluations utilizing medical terminology and clinical documentation standards. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and psychodynamic therapy. Provide individual, group, family, and youth therapy sessions via telehealth or in-person settings, ensuring adherence to HIPAA compliance and clinical ethical guidelines. Utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical records management and billing processes. Manage crisis situations through crisis intervention, crisis management techniques, and behavior management strategies to ensure client safety. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on treatment planning, case management, and research initiatives to enhance client outcomes. Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with clinical research, mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluation methods, and evidence-based practices. Support clients with co-occurring disorders by integrating addiction counseling techniques and trauma-focused therapies tailored to individual needs. Experience Proven experience working with children, youth, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and grief counseling. Experience working with inpatient or outpatient populations within hospital or clinic environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with telehealth platforms for delivering clinical counseling services effectively across remote settings. Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate documentation and billing purposes. Background in social work or related fields with a focus on mental health counseling or clinical support services is preferred. Ability to handle crisis situations confidently through crisis intervention skills and trauma-focused approaches while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines.
