Job Description
Rehabilitation Services of Louisiana is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Therapist to join our expanding outpatient program. As part of our team, you will provide high-quality individual and family therapy primarily through secure telehealth services delivered from one of our agency offices. Responsibilities Provide individual and family psychotherapy to adolescents and/or adults experiencing behavioral health, relationship, family, life-transition, and emotional concerns. Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals. Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and monitor client progress, adjusting treatment as needed. Identify clients who may require a higher level of care or specialized substance-use treatment and facilitate appropriate referrals. Coordinate care with other providers when clinically appropriate and authorized by the client. Offer Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) services to eligible clients in the Mental Health Rehabilitation (MHR) program, as assigned and qualified. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency, payer, and regulatory requirements. Provide the majority of outpatient therapy services via secure telehealth from our agency office, ensuring a professional and confidential environment. Educate clients on telehealth expectations, privacy, and participation, and assess ongoing appropriateness of telehealth services. Support the growth of the agencys private-pay outpatient therapy program through professional client engagement and collaboration with administrative staff. Participate in community outreach and referral development as appropriate. Qualifications Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health discipline meeting Louisiana requirements. Current Louisiana license or provisional license permitting the provision of assigned services within professional scope of practice (e.g., LPC, PLPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, PLMFT, or other approved credentials). Eligibility to provide telehealth services to clients throughout Louisiana in accordance with applicable regulations. Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, crisis identification, and referral practices. Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical documentation skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with clinical leadership. Experience providing outpatient individual and/or family therapy (preferred). Experience delivering therapy via telehealth (preferred). Experience with Louisiana Medicaid behavioral health or MHR services (preferred). Previous CPST experience (preferred). Training or experience in family systems, trauma-informed care, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, parenting, or life transitions (preferred). Experience working with adolescents, families, and/or substance-use or co-occurring disorders (preferred). Experience developing and maintaining an outpatient caseload (preferred).
