- 100/hour | Opportunity for Full-Time Rebuilding First Responders (1RP) is seeking a Mental Health Therapist / Clinician to provide group and individual psychotherapy to first responders, military veterans, and their families at our South Easton treatment center.
We are looking for a clinician who can connect authentically with this population, facilitate engaging psychotherapy groups, and provide high-quality individual clinical care. Former or current first responders, military veterans, and clinicians with significant experience working with first responders, veterans, trauma, substance use, or other high-stress professions are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a part-time clinical position with the potential to develop into a full-time role based on performance, availability, and program growth. About Rebuilding First Responders Rebuilding First Responders is a specialized behavioral health treatment program designed specifically for first responders and military veterans experiencing mental health, trauma-related, substance use, and co-occurring concerns. Our program works with police officers, firefighters, corrections professionals, EMS personnel, military veterans, and other public-safety professionals throughout Massachusetts and the greater New England area. Our clinical team understands that effectively treating this population requires more than traditional outpatient therapy. Our goal is to create an environment where first responders and veterans can engage honestly in treatment alongside people who understand the culture, occupational stressors, trauma exposure, and challenges associated with these professions. Our Clinical Director is a former Massachusetts police chief, and our multidisciplinary team includes clinicians and professionals with significant experience working with first responders, veterans, trauma, mental health, and substance use disorders. What You'll Do The clinician will work directly with patients participating in our specialized first responder and veteran programming.
Responsibilities include:
Facilitate engaging group psychotherapy for first responders and veterans Provide individual psychotherapy to assigned patients Develop therapeutic relationships with individuals who may initially be hesitant or resistant to behavioral health treatment Conduct clinical assessments and contribute to individualized treatment planning Address concerns including trauma, PTSD symptoms, depression, anxiety, substance use, occupational stress, relationship difficulties, grief, and major life transitions Complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timelines Collaborate with clinicians, case management, medical providers, and program leadership Participate in treatment-team discussions and continuity-of-care planning Maintain appropriate professional and clinical boundaries Support a treatment environment built around trust, accountability, cultural understanding, and high-quality clinical care Who We're Looking For We are especially interested in clinicians who bring strong group-facilitation skills, authenticity, confidence, and the ability to build rapport with first responders and veterans.
Ideal candidates may include:
LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LADC, or other appropriately credentialed behavioral health professionals Master's-level clinicians working toward independent licensure Clinicians with experience treating trauma, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, depression, or anxiety Clinicians with experience providing group psychotherapy Current or former first responders Military veterans or current military personnel Clinicians who have worked extensively with police, fire, corrections, EMS, military, or veteran populations Prior first responder or military service is strongly valued but is not required. A clinician with significant experience and demonstrated ability to connect with this population will also receive strong consideration. Compensation $50
- 100 per hour, depending on licensure, qualifications, clinical experience, relevant population experience, and responsibilities.
Schedule This position will initially be part-time, with scheduling based on program needs and candidate availability. There is a meaningful opportunity for the right clinician to expand their role and potentially transition into a full-time clinical position as the program continues to grow. We are looking for someone who can begin within approximately 4 weeks. Interview Process Candidates selected to move forward will interview with both the Program Director and Clinical Director before an offer is extended.
