Job Description

Do you love working with couples and want to focus on clinical work without having to manage the business side of private practice? Compassionate Counseling Company is seeking an independently licensed Couples Therapist to join our supportive and collaborative group practice on a part-time basis. We are specifically looking for a clinician who enjoys helping couples strengthen communication, navigate conflict, rebuild connection, and work through relationship challenges. Training or experience in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), or other evidence-based couples therapy modalities is strongly preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who wants the flexibility and earning potential of private practice while having an established team handle the administrative side of the work. What Sets Us Apart Competitive compensation of $50-$90 per clinical session , based on licensure, experience, schedule, and other applicable factors Additional compensation differential for clinicians providing evening and/or weekend sessions Established referral sources to help build and maintain your caseload Administrative support for credentialing, marketing, scheduling, billing, EHR, phone, email, and fax Supportive and collaborative clinical team Individual supervision and opportunities for peer consultation Professional development and training opportunities Flexible scheduling Hybrid opportunities, with the ability to provide both in-person and telehealth services Retirement plan with employer match for eligible employees Responsibilities Provide high-quality couples therapy using evidence-based and clinically appropriate interventions Complete comprehensive assessments and identify relational and individual factors impacting treatment Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals Support couples in improving communication, resolving conflict, strengthening connection, and working toward mutually identified treatment goals Collaborate with other providers and facilitate referrals when clinically appropriate Maintain timely, accurate, and high-quality clinical documentation Follow practice policies and professional and ethical standards of care Qualifications Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related behavioral health field Independent clinical licensure in Massachusetts (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent eligible license) Experience providing couples therapy strongly preferred Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, EFT, or another couples-focused modality is a plus Strong clinical assessment and relationship-building skills Compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered approach Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys working with couples and wants couples therapy to be a meaningful part of their caseload. We are particularly interested in clinicians who have pursued specialized couples training or are interested in continuing to develop their expertise in this area.
