Work Environment This position is entirely remote, allowing for a flexible work environment conducive to both collaboration and personal well-being. You will engage in telehealth sessions from the comfort of your home while utilizing advanced telecommunication tools. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that respect and integrate clients' cultural backgrounds, ensuring an accurate understanding of their unique experiences. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic approaches, adjusting care strategies based on ongoing evaluation. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions while creating a safe space for clients to express their emotions and experiences. Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care for individuals with complex needs. Offer crisis intervention and emotional support during mental health emergencies, remaining available and composed under pressure. Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources to enhance support networks. Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards. Actively participate in case conferences, team-building activities, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance service delivery. Stay informed about current research, best practices, and cultural considerations relevant to the field of mental health therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus The clients you will serve come from varied backgrounds, including ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant populations. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution. A valid and current Massachusetts license as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT. Strong foundational knowledge in mental health disorders and treatment modalities, combined with a deep appreciation for cultural sensitivity in therapeutic practices. Excellent crisis intervention skills, with resilience and composure in challenging client situations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to efficiently manage client information. A commitment to ethical standards and professional boundary maintenance. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience Two or more years of experience in a clinical setting providing therapy, particularly with diverse populations. Work experience in telehealth or familiarity with remote therapy tools and platforms is a plus. Experience facilitating group therapy sessions and workshops focused on cultural competence and mental health awareness. Compensation and Benefits This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
