Job Description
The Orenda Center of Wellness, LLC is a rapidly growing organization that is looking for a motivated individual to join the team and help expand our clinical mental health services. We are a fun energetic company doing our part to fight the battle against addiction and mental health stigma. We treat all clients as family when at Orenda, ensuring they are provided with the highest standard of love, compassion and care while working on healing of themselves through our comprehensive treatment programs and therapy services. This role of the outpatient mental health therapist will report directly to the onsite OMHC Manager and work concurrently with both clinical teams ensuing that all clients receive Orenda style team approach to therapeutic services. As a true dual-diagnosis treatment facility our clients are able to receive both their substance use services as well as mental health therapies concurrently and/or exclusively throughout their outpatient enrollment. As a preferred treatment provider, the Orenda Center of Wellness's approach is always the whole life ideal ensuring that each of our clients receives the specifically tailored treatment program that addresses their unique needs meeting them where they are at. This role will be responsible for a cross spectrum of clinical duties ranging from but not limited to, conducting individual, group, and/or family sessions, facilitating mental health groups and/or individual sessions, completing mental health clinical assessments, and documenting all group & sessions in our EMR system within the 48-hour time frame deadlines. The therapist should be comfortable working with dual-diagnosis clients ranging from adolescents to adults all who may have history of trauma and/or PTSD. Qualified candidates must be skilled at personal time management as well as able to prioritize their daily workload alongside unexpected crisis intervention needs. Quick calm responses and a cool head during a crisis is an indispensable skill for this position to possess. De-escalation and crisis response training is preferred but not required for this role.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Mental Health, Counseling, Social Work. Appropriate Maryland state licensing such asLGPC, LMSW, LCPC, LCSW
Working knowledge of ASAM criteria & SUD diagnosis Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience working in the field of addiction treatment and/or mental health counseling as a licensed provider Experience facilitating therapeutic group and individual sessions. Understanding of treatment planning, clinical notations, dual diagnosis charting and interventional skills Ability to maintain a case load of 15 or more clients at a time while keeping current on documentation and clinical deadlines. Ability to pass local & federal background checks along with being able to clear a full panel drug screening. Ability to handle crisis intervention with strong de-escalation skills. Adaptability and motivation to improve clients' lives are indispensable.CPR/First Aid Certified Position Offering:
