Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and art or dance therapy when appropriate. Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth counseling sessions aimed at addressing issues like grief, trauma, PTSD, autism spectrum disorders, co-occurring disorders, and developmental disabilities. Utilize crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies. Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards within EMR/EHR systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection to enhance treatment efficacy and contribute to best practices within behavioral health services. Requirements Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC or equivalent) with active state certification. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and those with co-occurring disorders such as addiction or chronic pain. Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities including psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation. Experience providing telehealth therapy sessions utilizing secure platforms aligned with HIPAA standards. Excellent clinical documentation skills following medical records standards; ability to maintain detailed treatment plans and progress notes. Ability to manage crisis situations effectively while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health assessments and treatments; experience working in inpatient or outpatient settings preferred. Strong communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
