Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Behavioral Therapist to provide expert mental health and behavioral support to children and their families. Must have a full-license in the State of Michigan (LMSW, LPC, PhD, LMFT or PsyD).

About Bloomfield Child and Family Counseling:

We are a group private practice exclusively treating children and adolescents. We are seeking highly qualified, energetic, fully licensed mental health professionals (LMSW, LPC, PhD) to join our practice. You would begin with a caseload of 15 clients and build to 25+ within 4 weeks. Job Responsibilities:

Keeping a caseload of 20 individuals/families seen weekly; Conducting biopsychosocial intakes, diagnosing and completing treatment plans for your clients; Writing progress notes and treatment plans regularly; Attending monthly office meetings

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate would be available to see clients on weekends (one or both days) and weekday after school hours.

Our ideal candidates have:

At least 2 years of clinical experience At least 2 years of working with children and adolescents An extensive background in CBT and/or DBT skill sets Post-graduate continuing/advanced training All candidates MUST be fully licensed in the State of Michigan (LPC, LMSW, PhD). They must have experience in clinical documentation, computer skills, and organizational skills. Candidates must have a motivation to work, a collaborative approach with colleagues, and a drive for knowledge and growth. References will be required during the interview process.

Job Type:

Contract 1099 Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents to identify behavioral and emotional needs. Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, play therapy, and trauma-specific interventions. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions aimed at improving social skills, emotional regulation, and behavioral management. Implement crisis intervention strategies to support children experiencing acute emotional or behavioral distress. Collect and document clinical data accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines. Collaborate with families, schools, and community agencies to coordinate care and ensure consistent therapeutic support across environments. Utilize culturally sensitive approaches to address the unique needs of children from diverse backgrounds. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of patient progress while adhering to confidentiality standards. Experience Proven experience working with children in mental health or behavioral care settings, including familiarity with child & youth therapy techniques. Demonstrated expertise in childhood development, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), or other evidence-based modalities for children with developmental disabilities or mental health symptoms. Experience conducting mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations for pediatric populations. Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, and working within HIPAA guidelines is essential. Ability to work effectively with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to promote holistic child development. Experience providing culturally competent counseling tailored to diverse populations enhances the quality of care delivered. Pay:

$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
