Make a meaningful impact in behavioral health care. We are seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Intake Therapist to support patients during critical moments of care. In this night-shift role, you will complete behavioral health intake assessments and help connect patients to the appropriate level of care across multiple ministry locations.
Schedule:
This is a full-time night-shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., including a weekend rotation.
Work locations:
This position floats between four locations, providing variety and the opportunity to support both remote intake and emergency department settings. 7980 Clayton Road office location, supporting remote intakes DePaul ER Wentzville ER St. Mary's ER Preferred experience: Hospital experience is preferred. Experience in school therapy, community-based therapy, counseling, addiction services, or other behavioral health settings will also be considered.

Job Summary:
Conducts interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions including telehealth assessments.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients. Responds to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services. Facilitates admission of in-patients and out-patients based on physician orders. Coordinates transportation to another facility and/or referral to a lower level of care as indicated. Documents calls and related admission information. May staff crisis hotline as needed. Reviews all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence to hospital and regulatory policies. Performs insurance verification and prior-authorization based on payor requirements. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Master's degree in Behavioral Health or related field

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing.
