Job Description

Summary Foundation is a small counseling agency in south Asheville, NC specializing in court ordered treatment. We have been providing high quality long-term individual and group therapy in the same location for over 25 years. We have a good reputation and stable referral sources. We provide structured treatment for offenders. We have a contract with United States Probation for the Western District and strong relationships with several county probation offices. Foundation is a cash-based practice that does not participate in insurance billing. This means we are not burdened by the documentation requirements of Medicaid and other payers. The Foundation staff is made up of 4 part-time therapists, 1 office manager and 1 owner/clinical director. Our therapy space has been newly updated. Our referrals are increasing and we are ready to add a part-time therapist to our clinical team. Responsibilities Provide mental health counseling to clients in group and individual modalities, utilizing techniques such as CBT, DBT and MI. Opportunity to conduct initial comprehensive assessments. Learn to conduct standard risk assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Maintain basic hand-written therapy notes in paper charts and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with treatment team and community supervisors to ensure high quality care. Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on best practices in mental health therapy. Qualifications Candidates must be fully licensed to practice mental healthcare in the state of North Carolina (PhD, Psy
D, LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT
). Previous experience with non-voluntary clientele is helpful but not required. We offer day time and evening services and can be flexible with work hours. The immediate need is one day a week consisting of a two-hour group therapy session and several individual counseling sessions. The hours needed will increase from there as new referrals are processed. The starting pay is $55/hr for individual therapy, $80/hr for group therapy and $25/hr for admin work and team meetings . If interested in conducting assessments the pay will be discussed. We pay for membership in a specific professional organization and we pay for some continuing education.
