Job Description

Position Title:
Licensed Professional / Licensed Therapist (Part-Time)
Position Type:
Part-Time (10-15 Hours Weekly)
Flexible Schedule Position Summary:
The Licensed Professional / Licensed Therapist is responsible for providing therapeutic services, behavioral support, and mental health interventions to youth residing within the residential program. The therapist will work with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, behavioral challenges, mental health diagnoses, and foster care placement disruptions. This position will provide individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, crisis support, and clinical collaboration with the treatment team to help residents achieve emotional stability, healthy coping skills, and overall treatment goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to residents Complete clinical assessments and contribute to treatment planning Develop therapeutic interventions and coping strategies tailored to each resident's needs Provide trauma-informed care and behavioral support Assist residents with emotional regulation, communication skills, and conflict resolution Collaborate with the Qualified Professional (QP), Associate Professionals (APs), residential staff, schools, guardians, and outside providers Participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and treatment team meetings as needed Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support when necessary Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, progress notes, and treatment records Support discharge planning and continuity of care Assist with staff education related to mental health, trauma-informed care, and behavioral interventions Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA, licensing regulations, and agency policies
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field required Active North Carolina licensure preferred (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or equivalent) Experience working with children, adolescents, foster care, behavioral health, or residential treatment preferred Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavior management strategies Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Work Schedule:
Flexible part-time schedule (10-15 hours weekly) Some evening availability preferred to accommodate family sessions and program needs

$30.00 - $32.66 per hour
