Job Description
Krippa Family Psychological & Wellness Services is looking for a part-time therapist to join our Cornelius team. We are especially interested in finding a clinician who genuinely enjoys working with children and has experience or training in play therapy , while also being comfortable providing therapy to adolescents. There is a significant need for child therapists in our area, and we are looking for someone who wants to develop a caseload working with children, teens, and their families. This is a part-time W-2 position with room to grow as your caseload develops . We are open to both experienced clinicians and clinicians earlier in their careers. Play therapy experience or training is strongly preferred. Experience with DBT is also preferred, particularly for work with adolescents, but we are willing to provide support and additional training to the right clinician. Sandtray therapy training will be provided. What You'll Do Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents Use developmentally appropriate approaches, including play-based interventions with children Provide DBT-informed treatment to adolescents when appropriate Work with parents and families as clinically appropriate Complete clinical documentation and treatment planning Collaborate with other clinicians and members of the treatment team Participate in clinical consultation and professional development Who We're Looking For We are especially interested in a clinician who: Enjoys working with children and wants children to be a meaningful part of their caseload Has training or experience in play therapy, or a strong interest in developing play therapy skills Is also comfortable working with adolescents Has DBT training or experience, or an interest in developing DBT skills Understands the importance of involving parents while maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship with the child or teen Values individualized, relationship-based treatment Works well as part of a collaborative team Is dependable and completes clinical documentation in a timely manner Is available primarily during afternoon and evening hours when children and teens are available for appointments Qualifications Applicants must hold a North Carolina mental health license or associate license that permits them to provide psychotherapy. We welcome applications from LCMHCs, LCMHCAs, LCSWs, LCSWAs, LMFTs, LMFTAs, psychologists, and other appropriately licensed mental health professionals. About the Practice Krippa Family Psychological & Wellness Services is a multidisciplinary private practice providing mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our approach emphasizes individualized treatment and gives clinicians opportunities to expand their skills in specialized approaches. The clinician joining our Cornelius office will have the opportunity to work with both children and adolescents and to receive training in sandtray therapy as part of their professional development. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the practice and develop a strong child and adolescent caseload over time.
