Job Overview A Licensed Level III males group home are seeking a compassionate and skilled Residential Outpatient Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling to individuals, groups and families, utilizing various therapeutic techniques to promote healing and growth. This role involves working with children and adolescents, addressing a range of mental health issues and supporting them through their therapeutic journey. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments and intake evaluations for new clients. Develop individualized person centered plans based on client needs and goals. Facilitate weekly individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on various issues including PTSD, ADHD, ODD, and behavioral challenges. Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed to ensure client safety and well-being. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ICD coding standards. Collaborate with staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients with complex needs. Collaborate with the QP, management, direct-care staff, families/guardians, and other team members as appropriate. Provide support for families through child & family counseling and education on behavioral management techniques. Monitor clinical progress and recommend changes when clinically indicated. Engage in CFT meetings, case consultations and /or medication evaluations Provide guidance regarding behavioral and mental health needs, crises prevention, and appropriate interventions. Requirements Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Valid licensure as a therapist or counselor in the state of practice. Experience working with children and families is highly preferred. Familiarity with crisis management techniques and direct support services. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and patient assessment protocols. Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities including but not limited to art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis, and behavioral therapy. Experience with special populations such as individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to ongoing professional development through training in areas such as psychopharmacology.
