Job Summary Liaisons Community Care is seeking a fully licensed clinician to conduct clinical assessments and provide therapy at its Wilson, North Carolina location. In this on-site role with a community-based behavioral health agency, the clinician will support access to appropriate care through assessment, clinical recommendations, crisis and safety planning when indicated, referrals, and therapy. Duties Conduct comprehensive behavioral health screenings, intake assessments, and reassessments for scheduled and walk-in consumers; gather relevant clinical, psychosocial, substance use, medical, family, and treatment history. Assess symptoms, functioning, strengths, risks, protective factors, and barriers to care. Formulate diagnoses and recommend appropriate services and levels of care using current diagnostic standards and placement criteria when applicable. Complete suicide, self-harm, violence, and other risk assessments when indicated; develop crisis or safety plans and coordinate immediate intervention or a higher level of care when needed. Explain assessment findings and recommendations to consumers and make appropriate internal or external referrals when needs require additional or different services. Coordinate with authorized supports, referral sources, providers, and treatment-team members to support continuity of care and connection to recommended services. Complete accurate assessment, referral, treatment, and progress documentation in the electronic health record within agency and payer timeframes. Facilitate approximately two structured, evidence-informed therapy groups per week as enrollment and program needs develop; provide individual therapeutic intervention when assigned. Monitor participation, progress, clinical presentation, and changes in risk or treatment needs; adjust interventions and communicate clinically significant concerns. Participate in required supervision, consultation, treatment-team meetings, and training while maintaining confidentiality, consumer rights, and professional ethics. Required Qualifications Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or another qualifying behavioral health field from an accredited institution. Current, unrestricted North Carolina credential as an LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or LPA. Strong behavioral health assessment, diagnostic, treatment-planning, and clinical-documentation skills. Experience assessing behavioral health crises, completing suicide and other risk assessments, and developing appropriate crisis or safety plans. Knowledge of DSM diagnostic criteria and the ability to determine appropriate service and level-of-care recommendations. Ability to facilitate therapy groups, work independently on site, and collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary treatment team. Reliable Monday-through-Friday availability for an on-site schedule that may vary between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM based on agency needs, and ability to meet agency background requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a community-based behavioral health agency serving people with mental health and substance use treatment needs. Experience conducting clinical assessments, facilitating behavioral health groups, and using ASAM, LOCUS, or other level-of-care criteria. Familiarity with North Carolina Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, authorization requirements, payer timelines, and Medicaid documentation standards.
