Work Environment The role of a Mental Health Therapist at Paragon Behavioral Health Center is designed to be performed entirely through a remote telehealth platform. This modern approach to therapy allows for flexibility in work-life balance while ensuring that we remain accessible to our clients. Our therapists typically work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility to meet patient needs. This role empowers you to connect with clients in the comfort of their homes, eliminating geographical barriers to quality mental health care. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine clients' emotional and psychological needs. Create and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances and goals. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, during individual, couples, and family sessions. Facilitate psychoeducational groups that foster community support around mental health topics. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure well-rounded treatment plans are executed effectively. Provide crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute mental health crises. Educate clients on mental health issues, treatment avenues, and community resources, empowering them with knowledge and understanding. Maintain precise and confidential client documentation in line with legal and ethical standards. Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives. Stay informed about new research findings and advances in the field of mental health therapy, integrating them into practice as appropriate. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clients range from children to adults who seek therapy for various mental health challenges. You will have the chance to work with individuals facing complex psychological issues, including but not limited to mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma-related conditions. At Paragon Behavioral Health Center, we appreciate the diversity of backgrounds and experiences our clients bring, which enriches our therapeutic environment and enables us to provide care that is responsive and respectful of their unique needs. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with various evidence-based treatment approaches. Proficient in conducting mental health assessments and developing individualized treatment strategies. Experience in providing both individual and group therapy is preferred. Excellent communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities, are critical for effective therapist-client relationships. Sound judgment, ethics, and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries are paramount. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and competency in essential computer applications are expected. The ability to collaborate successfully within a multidisciplinary team is essential. Preferred Experience We prefer candidates who have experience working in an outpatient setting and who possess a strong background in teletherapy practices. Any additional training in specialized therapeutic approaches, such as trauma-informed care or crisis intervention techniques, will be considered an asset. The ability to adapt to different client dynamics and styles will also enhance your potential effectiveness and integration into our clinical team. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position ranges from
USD 80,000
to 100,000 annually, based on experience and education.
