Licensed Mental Health Therapist (Urgent Care) About the Company Healthcare Commons, Inc. is a not-for-profit, licensed community mental health agency that has served Salem County for more than 70 years, as well as parts of Cumberland and Gloucester counties. Across multiple locations, we provide a full range of behavioral health and support services for children, adolescents, and adults—including outpatient counseling, partial care, crisis intervention, residential services, case management, and family support programs. Conveniently located near Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Southern New Jersey, we are proud to be a trusted resource for individuals and families across the region. About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist (Urgent Care) to join our Mental Health Urgent Care program in Salem County, NJ. This role provides immediate behavioral health support to adults experiencing emotional distress and mental health symptoms. As part of our team, you will conduct intake assessments, facilitate therapy sessions, and create treatment plans that promote stabilization and linkage to ongoing care. Program Overview Healthcare Commons' Mental Health Urgent Care program provides short-term counseling, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and referrals for individuals in crisis who may not require hospitalization. The program is designed to deliver tailored services from the moment clients walk in, with the goal of stabilization and smooth transition to the most appropriate level of support. Key Responsibilities Conduct intake assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning Provide individual and group therapy addressing psycho-social needs Assist with stabilization for clients, including support with medication needs to enhance daily quality of life Utilize assessments and evidence-based modalities to promote successful outcomes for each client Ensure proper service linkage and continuity of care when clients exit the 30-day program Collaborate with psychiatric providers, case managers, and other team members to support recovery Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation Qualifications LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LAC required Master's degree in a recognized mental health discipline required Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong clinical perspective with proven ability to develop effective treatment plans Ability to engage in a team-based, strength-focused approach with colleagues and clients Experience supporting individuals through Early Intervention Support Services a plus Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Compensation & Schedule Base Rate:
$26.44 per hour
Schedule:
