Capital District Psychiatric Center (CDPC) is recruiting for Mental Health Therapy Aides. Evening and overnight shift is available. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. As a Mental Health Therapy Aide at CDPC, you will provide direct care services and support to individuals diagnosed with mental illness.
Duties will include:
- Assisting individuals with personal care tasks such as hygiene, grooming, nutrition, and daily living.
- Coordinating and promoting social activities, including dances, picnics, shopping visits, cultural and athletic events, and after-school/weekend activities.
- Accompanying and/or transporting individuals to medical appointments as necessary.
- Collaborating with individuals and human service providers to advocate for and assist in meeting their employment, housing, and educational needs.
- Observing individuals' responses to treatment and reporting observations verbally or in writing.
- Attending treatment team meetings, sharing observations on progress, and suggesting alternative programs to revise treatment plans.
- Assisting in crisis and emergency situations to protect the welfare of individuals, staff, and others.
License Requirement:
