Job Description
Assists the staff with the implementation of treatment programs to diverse age groups in order to provide effective treatment to individuals, families, and groups. Collaborates with clinical and non-clinical team members to ensure culture of support is reflected in patient's treatment. Job Responsibility One late shift 12:30P-8:30P, required Conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients. Provides treatment and support to individuals, groups, and families as appropriate. Documents complete progress per program and regulatory guidelines. Refers and coordinates patients to receive additional or specialized services. Provides individual and/or group psychotherapy, as needed. Supports specialized therapeutic interventions. Provides crisis counseling and intervention services, as appropriate. Liaises with patient providers for collateral treatment. Promotes patient compliance and adherence to treatment appointments utilizing relapse prevention techniques. Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions. Job Qualification Master's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Current License to practice as a Mental Health Counselor in New York State required, or Current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor Certification, plus specialized certifications as needed. 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
