Job Description

UPMC is seeking a Supervisor, Behavioral Health Therapy to lead a team of clinicians delivering high-quality mental health services. In this role, you will provide clinical supervision, oversee caseloads and documentation, support evidence-based treatment, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with physicians, care managers, and community partners to coordinate patient-centered care. The supervisor will mentor staff, support professional development, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to innovative, research-informed behavioral health programs that advance UPMC's mission in the community. Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision and guidance to behavioral health therapists Oversee caseload distribution, documentation quality, and regulatory compliance Deliver direct patient care using evidence-based therapies as needed Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and community partners Monitor clinical outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance feedback for team members Ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and organizational standards in behavioral health practice Promote a patient-centered, culturally competent, and trauma-informed care environment Facilitate team meetings and case conferences for complex patients Support staff education, training, and professional development opportunities Required Skills Clinical supervision Behavioral health assessment Evidence-based psychotherapies Treatment planning Risk assessment and crisis intervention Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Regulatory and compliance knowledge Multidisciplinary care coordination Performance management and coaching Quality improvement in healthcare
