Mind Speak Inc. is looking for LMHCs and LMFTs to provide in-person therapy to clients in Queens. The role is independent contract work and pays $75 per session. Caseloads are grouped by neighborhood, so your clients are close together, and close to you where possible. We currently have 8-15 sessions a week available in Queens. LMFT limited permit holders are welcome. Supervision toward licensure is provided by our founder, an LCSW. About us Mind Speak provides psychotherapy to children, teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who also live with mental health conditions. We see clients where their lives happen: at home, at day programs and in the community, across New York City and Westchester. All sessions are in person. What you'll do Assess new clients and build treatment plans around how each person communicates Provide individual, family and couples therapy, adapted for clients with IDD Coach and update families and caregivers so progress carries on between sessions Coordinate with behavior analysts, speech and occupational therapists, and other providers Track progress and adjust treatment as needs change Write progress notes in our EHR within 24 hours of each session, to Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance standards What you'll need An active NY LMHC or LMFT license registered with NYSOP, or an LMFT limited permit. Experience with IDD, autism or co-occurring conditions, or a genuine commitment to learning Clear, timely documentation Comfort working on your own between sessions and within a wider care team A valid driver's license and a reliable car People with lived experience of disability are encouraged to apply.
