Job Overview Miracle Hearts is looking for a caring and compassionate therapist to join our treatment team, providing essential psychological support to young clients. This position involves conducting detailed assessments to identify individual needs, leading therapeutic group sessions, and devising personalized treatment and discharge plans. The Youth Therapist is also responsible for the thorough documentation of all client interactions and treatment progress. Ideal candidates will have a robust knowledge of counseling techniques applicable to youth, combined with strong communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering the mental health and well-being of the youth in their care. Duties Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to address clients' needs. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with legal and ethical standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Provide counseling for chronic pain management, addiction issues, and behavioral health concerns. Utilize medical terminology effectively in documentation and communication with other healthcare providers. Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for participants to share experiences and support one another. Implement applied behavior analysis techniques when appropriate, particularly for clients with special education needs. Stay informed about current best practices in psychotherapy and participate in ongoing professional development. Requirements A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required. Valid licensure as a therapist in the state of practice. Strong knowledge of medical records management and confidentiality protocols. Experience in psychotherapy, group therapy, chronic pain counseling, addiction counseling, or behavioral health is preferred. Familiarity with special education principles and applied behavior analysis is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining client records. A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of mental health.
