Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Therapist/Counselor to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with co-occurring disorders. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through evidence-based practices, trauma-focused therapy, and innovative treatment modalities such as telehealth. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care in outpatient, inpatient, or community settings. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing DSM-V coding standards to inform treatment planning. Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations while maintaining accurate medical records and documentation in EMR/EHR systems. Engage in case management activities including intake assessments, patient communication, progress monitoring, and discharge planning. Facilitate specialized counseling for your speciality- grief, trauma (including PTSD care), addiction recovery, behavioral health issues, gender identity concerns, and developmental disabilities. Collaborate with medical professionals on psychopharmacology considerations and coordinate care for individuals with co-occurring disorders. Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance evidence-based practices and contribute to data collection efforts for continuous quality improvement. Maintain compliance with clinical ethical guidelines while delivering culturally competent care that respects client diversity and individual needs. Work well within the team. Keep up with supervision requirements within and any outside of the company. Experience Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings; pediatrics or geriatrics experience is a plus. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, behavior management, and addiction counseling. Prior telehealth experience is highly desirable; familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms is preferred. Strong background in mental health assessments using ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) and medical terminology for accurate documentation. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is advantageous. Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and treatment planning processes aligned with HIPAA regulations. Ability to manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention skills and crisis management protocols. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient patient record keeping; experience working within medical records standards is preferred. $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
