UPMC - University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist I to provide outpatient mental health services to diverse patients. In this role, you will complete biopsychosocial assessments, develop person-centered treatment plans, and deliver individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based practices. You will collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and community providers, monitor outcomes, maintain accurate documentation in the EHR, and participate in case conferences, supervision, and ongoing training within UPMC's collaborative, learning-focused culture. Responsibilities Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy to outpatient behavioral health patients Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and risk evaluations Develop, implement, and update person-centered, evidence-based treatment plans Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and community providers on care coordination Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions, and support recovery-oriented goals Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Participate in case conferences, supervision, and interdisciplinary team meetings Adhere to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards for behavioral healthcare Engage in ongoing professional development and UPMC training programs Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatments, and community resources Required Skills Diagnostic assessment and biopsychosocial evaluation Individual psychotherapy Group therapy facilitation Treatment planning and goal setting Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Risk assessment and crisis intervention Knowledge of DSM-5 and behavioral health regulations Interdisciplinary team collaboration Case management and care coordination Patient and family psychoeducation
