Responsibilities Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with diverse behavioral health needs, including those with autism, PTSD, or developmental disabilities. Conduct intake assessments and gather detailed medical and behavioral histories while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and observe patient behaviors to identify changes or escalation signs that require immediate attention. Support crisis management efforts through de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies to ensure safety for patients and staff. Document medical records accurately, including progress notes, behavior data collection, medication administration logs, and incident reports. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams by providing insights on patient progress and behavior management strategies based on data collection. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including medication administration under supervision, promoting independence and dignity for patients. Qualifications Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), social work principles, and behavior management techniques. Ability to perform crisis intervention effectively in high-pressure situations. Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation practices. Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and families while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards. Prior experience in special education or addiction counseling is a plus but not required. Demonstrated commitment to patient care through compassionate service delivery and attention to detail in data collection and record keeping.
