Job Description
Explorations Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is hiring for a full-time Mental Health Worker (Group Therapist). The Mental Health Worker (Group Therapist) provides direct treatment focusing on assisting clients to learn to respond to their daily environment in a productive manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Actively participates as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team to evaluate and update comprehensive treatment plans for assigned clients. Develop, organize and conduct group therapy activities daily Utilize behavioral and therapeutic intervention strategies listed in treatment plan for each client Work collaboratively with the treatment team Responsible for attendance recording for billing purposes. Complete DAP notes pertaining to each client for each group therapy session Meet with a client to assist in a crisis situation or to assist in de-escalation File notes for each client daily Contribute to development and maintenance of an environment that is non-threatening, safe, nurturing, and where clients feel respected, accepted and welcome Implement Non-violent Crisis Intervention strategies Assume additional duties as assigned by the Director of Treatment.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in recognized related Mental Health clinical discipline; Master's Degree in same fields preferred. Minimum of one year of experience working with children and youth who exhibit emotional disturbance; Preference for two years of experience in Mental Health field or related organization. Excellent communication skills and organizational skills. Ability to problem solve and use technology to work effectively. Ability to restrain students. Abiility to complete Tact-2 & Safety Care Training. Crisis intervention training Due to itinerant nature of position, must have a valid driver's license. TB Test/Physical (dated within one year) Sexual Misconduct/ Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168) Official Transcripts/Diploma Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and DHS FBI (dated within one year)WORK SCHEDULE
Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 12-month position (7 hours per day/224-226 work days per year) This position follows a school calendar and includes various holiday breaks including Friday's off during the summer, Holiday Break (one week), Spring Break, and Summer break (one week off in June)SALARY & BENEFITS
$28.22-$31.61/hour, based on education and experience $500 new hire signing bonus- (•after completing 6 months of service) Additional Bonus Opportunities including a $1,000 longevity bonus• (•after completing 3 years of service and every 3 years of service thereafter), a $1,000 licensure attainment bonus, and a $500 employee referral bonus.
