Assessment & Treatment Alternatives, Inc. (ATA), a licensed outpatient behavioral health agency in Philadelphia, seeks a full-time licensed therapist (LCSW, LPC, or licensed psychologist) to direct our new Family Therapeutic Visitation program, a court-integrated clinical service funded by the Philadelphia Department of Human Services. The Program Director provides direct clinical services to families in active dependency proceedings — facilitating therapeutic parent-child visits, conducting attachment and parenting capacity assessments, delivering trauma-focused individual and dyadic intervention, and preparing formal reports and testimony for Family Court. The Director leads a two-person clinical team alongside a full-time case manager and serves as the program's primary clinical liaison to the Department of Human Services and the Court, under the supervision of ATA's Clinical Director. The ideal candidate holds an active Pennsylvania clinical license, has training and experience in trauma-informed family therapy, attachment-based intervention (e.g., CPP, Theraplay-informed approaches, TF-CBT), and child welfare practice, and is comfortable with structured clinical documentation and courtroom testimony. Experience with the Philadelphia dependency system is strongly preferred. Implement motivational interviewing techniques to enhance client engagement and facilitate behavior change. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies while ensuring safety for clients and staff. Provide supervision and direction to the program case manager. Collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community agencies to develop personalized care plans that address behavioral health and developmental needs. Maintain accurate medical records and electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and proper documentation of patient care. Provide culturally competent care by understanding diverse backgrounds and tailoring interventions accordingly. Engage in case management activities to coordinate services, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Support clients with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by applying specialized techniques like applied behavior analysis (ABA) and working within special education frameworks. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling, crisis management, child & family counseling, and home-based behavioral interventions. Experience Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and families in the child welfare system. Demonstrated expertise in family therapy, child & youth counseling, behavioral health interventions, and crisis management. Background in home-based behavioral services or home & community care environments is highly desirable. Strong skills in conflict management, social work principles, addiction counseling (if applicable), and cultural competency to serve diverse populations effectively.
