Mi Ae Kim, LMFT , is seeking a warm, thoughtful, curious, and emotionally mature Associate Marriage and Family Therapist to join a small, relational private practice in Pasadena. This position is ideal for a developing clinician who wants to grow clinically, develop a strong professional identity, and learn how to build a sustainable private practice. About the Practice Our work is grounded in a relational and attachment-oriented approach , with an emphasis on differentiation, emotional connection, and self-awareness. Clinical opportunities include individual and couples therapy, premarital counseling, intimacy and sex therapy, grief, anxiety, trauma, depression, spirituality, and cultural humility. Experience in couples or sex therapy is not required. Training, mentorship, and consultation are available for clinicians interested in developing these areas. There may also be opportunities to develop a specialty or facilitate a therapy group. Compensation & Benefits Tiered compensation of $50-$85 per clinical hour , based on experience, session fees, and caseload Paid administrative time: up to 3 hours per week at $22/hour Paid supervision and clinical mentorship Paid sick time Flexible scheduling and hybrid telehealth/in-person options Welcoming Pasadena office and opportunity to help shape a growing practice Qualifications Current AMFT registration with the California BBS , in good standing Minimum of 500 completed supervised clinical experience hours toward California licensure Currently seeing clients with an active caseload of at least five clients Capacity to build and maintain approximately 15- 20 client sessions per week Commitment to ethical, compassionate, high-quality clinical care Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Openness to feedback, self-reflection, and professional growth Willingness to actively participate in networking, outreach, and ethically building a caseload The Ideal Candidate You are warm, thoughtful, curious, insightful, authentic, emotionally mature, and self-motivated.
