Part-Time Behavioral Health Therapist Hybrid | Flourtown, PA The Bariatric Medicine Institute is seeking a compassionate, independently licensed behavioral health clinician to expand our integrated medical weight-management team. This position is ideal for a therapist who enjoys helping adults build practical, sustainable skills around eating behaviors, stress, motivation, and long-term lifestyle change. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the clinician's patient panel and program needs develop. About Our Practice The Bariatric Medicine Institute is a comprehensive medical weight-management practice serving patients through a whole-person approach to health. Our care model integrates medical evaluation and pharmacologic therapy when appropriate with nutrition, behavioral support, and individualized lifestyle strategies. We aim to help patients make lasting changes that support both health and quality of life. What You Will Do Provide individual behavioral-health visits for adults participating in medical weight-management care. Evaluate behavioral, emotional, and psychosocial factors that may affect eating patterns, health behaviors, and treatment engagement. Help patients address concerns such as emotional eating, stress management, self-esteem, habit change, motivation, and barriers to follow-through. Use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, problem-solving, and goal-setting. Develop and update individualized, patient-centered care plans. Offer group-based educational or therapeutic sessions as program needs evolve. Work closely with the physician, dietitians, and other members of the care team to coordinate care. Maintain timely, clear documentation within the electronic health record. Monitor patient progress and support appropriate adjustments to behavioral goals over time. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related behavioral-health field. Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania license as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, or equivalent independent clinical license. Active NPI number required. Experience providing psychotherapy, behavioral counseling, or health-focused counseling to adults. Training or practical experience with CBT, motivational interviewing, and behavior-change counseling. Strong interpersonal skills, sound clinical judgment, and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care. Interest or experience in obesity medicine, lifestyle medicine, nutrition-related behavior change, chronic disease management, or wellness is preferred. Schedule and Location Part-time, with scheduling flexibility. Hybrid role, including remote visits and in-person care at our Flourtown, Pennsylvania office. Pay:
