Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms. Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client, incorporating their feedback and preferences. Implement evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively address clients' challenges. Educate and empower clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment modalities, and self-care practices to promote resilience and understanding. Continuously monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices. Collaborate with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of client well-being. Stay current with research and developments in mood disorders to enhance innovative treatment methodologies and best practices. Maintain meticulous records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, securing client confidentiality at all times. Engage in case consultations and team meetings actively, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment. Advocate for clients, addressing mental health stigmatization and facilitating access to necessary resources. Patient Population / Client Focus The therapist will primarily work with individuals and families affected by mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. The population served is diverse, encompassing individuals from varied backgrounds, including marginalized communities, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. This position requires a therapist with a strong commitment to understanding and addressing the complex challenges faced by these populations. Qualifications Must possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting therapeutic relationships with clients. Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients' experiences and personal struggles. Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively balance client loads and administrative responsibilities. Preferred Experience Prior experience in outpatient settings, particularly with mood disorders, is highly desirable. Experience in utilizing evidence-based therapy modalities, including CBT and DBT. Familiarity with the challenges faced by specific populations such as homeless individuals or victims of abuse is a plus. Engagement in professional development activities and training in addiction counseling will be valued. Compensation and Benefits Salary range of
USD 70,000 - 90,000
annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
