Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history and determine the best treatment approaches tailored to their needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the enhancement of overall mental well-being. Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and recovery. Lead individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients process their trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and promote a sense of empowerment. Collaborate proactively with psychiatrists, peer support specialists, and other health care professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and treatment integration. Manage crisis intervention situations, offering immediate support and strategies during trauma-related emergencies. Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to aid their journey toward recovery. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards. Engage in ongoing case consultations and participate in regular team meetings and training sessions that emphasize trauma-informed care advancements. Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the quality of care provided. Patient Population / Client Focus The primary client population includes individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, from childhood abuse to military combat, as well as those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your empathetic approach and specialized training will aid patients in beginning their trauma recovery journeys and help them rebuild their lives. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology obtained from an accredited institution. Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R is a requirement. You must possess a valid license to practice in the state. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role is preferred. Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders, including experience with trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building methodologies. Proven track record in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, fostering a caring and non-judgmental atmosphere for patients. Capability to remain composed in high-stress situations while maintaining a clear focus on client needs. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications for efficient documentation and data management. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
