Couples Mental Health Therapist

Job Description

Overview Inner Journey Counseling and Wellness in Downers Grove is a private practice with a unique focus on both mind and body wellness. We are a small practice with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and therapists that help clients feel immediately at ease. As our practice grows, we are getting a great deal of incoming requests for couples therapy. We are now looking for an experienced, fully licensed couples counselor. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in couples counseling, be fully licensed as an LMFT, LCPC or LCSW, and ideally will have additional Gottman or EFT training for couples counseling. Thereapist will provide high-quality therapeutic services to couples, focusing on promoting mental wellness and supporting clients through various challenges. Therapist may also see individual clients and/or families as well as couples. This role requires a strong commitment to client care, a deep understanding of mental health issues, and a passion for what you do! Candidatr MUST be willing to work hybird and see some clients at the office location. This is a unique opportunity to work in a small, cohesive and supportive environment, where you can set your own hours and manage your own clients.
Requirements:
Illinois licensure as an
LCSW, LCPC, LMFT.
Three to four years experience working in couples therapy is required.
Compensation:
$65-$95 per hour. This is a 1099 contracted position. Make your own hours! Schedule clients on your time, and work either via telehealth or in our office in Downtown Downers Grove. We are looking for someone willing to see to at least 15 clients per week. Duties Conduct comprehensive intake/assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Provide individual, group or couples counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients in acute distress. Effective and timely recording of progress notes and write treatment plans Offer psychotherapy services addressing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients, including referrals to other specialists when necessary. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical standards and HIPPA requirements. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health therapy. Skills The successful candidate will possess the following skills: Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques to effectively manage urgent situations. Knowledge of formulation of treatment plans and SMART goals Familiarity with EHR (we use Simple Practice.) Strong background in individual and/or couples counseling methodologies. Knowledge of various psychotherapeutic approaches tailored to diverse populations. Familiarity with counseling principles as they apply to mental health care. Understanding of psychopharmacology and its implications for therapy A genuine interest in people Competence in behavioral therapy techniques for effective treatment outcomes.
