Work Environment This position will be primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your schedule while maintaining a balance between work-life demands. You will have access to our online therapy platforms and collaborative tools to engage with clients effectively. While working independently, you will also participate in regular virtual team meetings and supervision sessions to discuss cases, share insights, and foster a culture of supportive peer connection. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of clients, including couples and families, to understand their unique dynamics and therapeutic needs. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices that aim to address clients' specific concerns such as communication breakdowns, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation. Deliver counseling sessions via telehealth, ensuring an engaging and effective therapeutic alliance even in a virtual setting. Implement various therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), tailored to the objectives of each client. Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of client progress, session notes, and treatment goals in compliance with state regulations and our internal policies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and family advocates, to ensure integrated care and comprehensive support for clients. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will primarily work with couples and families from diverse backgrounds dealing with issues ranging from relationship distress and trauma to communication difficulties and parenting challenges. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving their interpersonal dynamics, enhancing their emotional health, and fostering a nurturing family environment. Understanding and navigating cultural variances, especially in a city like San Antonio with its rich tapestry of communities, will be essential for effective therapy. Qualifications Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Valid and active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the State of Texas. Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms for remote counseling and documentation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to establish rapport and trust with clients virtually. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy, particularly focused on couples and family dynamics. Experience with evidence-based therapeutic models and a solid understanding of mental health issues faced by families. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and the ability to handle complex situations with sensitivity and professionalism. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging between USD 75,000 and 90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
