Job Description

Chicago CBT Center is looking for a thoughtful, curious therapist who genuinely enjoys working with children and families. Founded in 2010, Chicago CBT Center is an established private-pay specialty practice providing evidence-based treatment for anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, phobias and related concerns. What Full-Time Looks Like Here We believe clinicians do their best work when caseloads are sustainable. A typical full-time caseload is approximately 25 45-minute sessions per week . Licensed Clinical Psychologists maintaining this caseload average $150,000+ annually, with additional annual bonuses averaging $3,000-$6,000. Because we are a private-pay practice and not contracted with insurance companies, clinicians can maintain lower-volume caseloads while earning competitive compensation. Treatment decisions are based on what is clinically appropriate, not insurance-company requirements. Clinicians have flexibility in structuring their schedules and may work from our Lincoln Park and/or Skokie office, with hybrid work options available. During the first year, clinicians should be available until 7:00 PM on 2-3 weekdays while establishing their caseload. No weekend hours are required. We make the transition easier. New clinicians receive a starting stipend while building their caseload, along with an established stream of referrals and support as they transition into the practice. Who Thrives Here You genuinely enjoy working with children and with their parents. We view parents as essential treatment partners, particularly when working with younger children. Our clinicians help parents understand treatment, coach them in supporting skill development, and involve families in ways that help children use what they learn outside the therapy room. Humor, curiosity, flexibility, quick thinking and an analytical mind tend to fit particularly well with our team. Our reputation as a specialty practice brings families specifically seeking evidence-based care. As clinicians develop, we work with them to cultivate areas of expertise and build a caseload that reflects their clinical interests. Clinical Training & Support Clinical development is a major part of working at Chicago CBT Center. During their first year, clinicians participate in weekly small-group training covering areas such as OCD and related disorders, anxiety disorders, phobias, ADHD, parent and family interventions, and other evidence-based treatments.
Clinicians also receive:
Weekly group supervision Monthly Journal Club focused on translating emerging research into clinical practice Practice-wide trainings with outside experts and researchers $600 annual conference and continuing education fund $600 annual professional-fee fund for expenses such as licensure and malpractice insurance Recent in-house trainings have included SPACE, identifying subtle but significant autism, ADHD assessment and differential diagnosis, Family-Based Treatment for eating disorders, and transgender letter writing. We want clinicians to develop their own areas of expertise and build their individual fingerprint as a therapist. Responsibilities Provide evidence-based individual therapy to children, adolescents and adults presenting with concerns including anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, phobias and related conditions. Actively involve parents and families in treatment when clinically appropriate. Develop thoughtful, evidence-based case conceptualizations and treatment plans. Collaborate with psychiatrists, pediatricians, schools and other professionals involved in a client's care. Participate in weekly supervision. Participate in ongoing professional development and training. Qualifications Ph.D., Psy.

D., LCPC or LCSW with an active Illinois license. Experience providing therapy to children and families. Strong interest in evidence-based treatment. Genuine interest in working collaboratively with parents and caregivers. Curiosity, flexibility and a desire to continue developing clinically. Several years of post-licensure experience is preferred. We encourage strong earlier-career clinicians with meaningful child and family experience to apply. Compensation & Benefits W-2 employment Licensed Clinical Psychologists maintaining approximately 25 45-minute sessions per week average $150,000+ annually Licensed LCPCs and LCSWs maintaining approximately 25 45-minute sessions per week average $110,000+ annually Annual bonus averaging $3,000-$6,000 Steady stream of referrals Hybrid work options Flexible scheduling No weekends PTO and paid sick leave, plus unlimited unpaid time off BCBS health insurance MetLife dental insurance 401(k) with company contribution Parental leave stipend Gym membership reimbursement $600 annual continuing education and training fund $600 annual professional-fee reimbursement Weekly supervision Extensive first-year clinical training Interested in Joining Us?
