Work Environment In this remote position, you will have the flexibility to work from home while utilizing advanced technology to connect with clients. Our virtual platform ensures that you can deliver effective therapy sessions whether they are in-person or conducted via telehealth. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment conducive to both therapist and client success. Key Responsibilities Provide individual in-home therapy sessions and group therapy in outpatient settings, customizing approaches based on individual client needs. Implement strategies to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and physical violence through targeted interventions like anger management and coping skill development. Enhance decision-making skills for both youth and caregivers to address behavioral challenges within the home environment. Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists, sharing insights and strategies to maximize the effectiveness of treatment. Maintain timely submission of all necessary documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to regulatory and organizational standards. Participate actively in team meetings, contributing recommendations and insights to shape treatment approaches for ongoing improvement. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who are experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities. Many of these young individuals may face challenges such as behavioral issues, emotional disturbances, and struggles with social skills. As a therapist, you will be instrumental in creating personalized therapeutic frameworks designed to empower them and support their families. Qualifications Possession of a Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field. Holding an active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Massachusetts. Availability for at least 5-10 hours per week, particularly in the evenings during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM). Weekend flexibility is advantageous. Evidence of strong communication skills and an ability to engage effectively with children and their families. Must have a valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for potential in-home visits. Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
