Job Overview This is a 1099 Contract Position. We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Florida Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW or LMHC) to join our dedicated team and be able to work independently. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral health interventions. Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth, and Christian therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices like applied behavior analysis, social work techniques, and art therapy when appropriate. Facilitate crisis intervention and crisis management strategies to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, medical records, and billing documentation using EMR/EHR systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management and coordinate care for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities when needed. Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health care and ICD coding updates. Maintain CEU, licensure and insurance requirements. Review referrals timely and attempt contact with clients within 24-hours of receiving the referral. Attend organization meetings and peer consultations to ensure updates are shared timely. Experience Valid Florida licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LMHC, LCSW) with active licensure to practice independently. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with mental health issues in outpatient or inpatient settings. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy (TFT), and addiction counseling. Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care needs, chronic pain counseling, or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and delivering services via telehealth experience is required. Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively while demonstrating excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity. $30.00 - $65.00 per hour
