Key Responsibilities\n\n Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to evaluate patients' psychological needs and craft tailored treatment plans that address their specific challenges and resources.\n Implement a range of evidence-based interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused strategies, delivering individualized therapy sessions through secure telehealth platforms.\n Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups to foster patient community, reduce stigma, and promote shared experiences surrounding mental health issues.\n Collaborate routinely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to treatment, optimizing patient care outcomes through a coordinated team effort.\n Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to patients encountering immediate mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and access to necessary resources.\n Educate patients on mental health topics, discussing treatment options and guiding them towards available community resources, enhancing their understanding and engagement in their care.\n Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and care coordination.\n Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights, successes, and challenges, thereby promoting continuous learning and improvement.\nPatient Population / Client Focus\n Our therapists work with a varied clientele, including individuals from different cultural backgrounds and age groups. We prioritize inclusivity and aim to provide culturally competent care, understanding the unique experiences and challenges faced by different patient demographics.

Qualifications\n\n A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited university.\n Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD in the state of Virginia.\n Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic methodologies.\n Proven skills in performing thorough mental health evaluations and crafting effective, actionable treatment strategies.\n Experience in providing both individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for diverse patient populations.\n Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a therapeutic rapport with patients and colleagues alike.\n Commitment to upholding professional ethics, boundaries, and confidentiality while navigating sensitive patient situations.\n Familiarity with electronic health records and comfortable with standard office software applications.\nPreferred Experience\n\n At least two years of related experience in a mental health counseling setting.\n Experience in crisis intervention and handling emergency mental health situations.\n Previous involvement in community outreach or educational programs focused on mental health awareness and support.\nCompensation and Benefits\n The salary for this position ranges from

annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
