Assesses clients' mental health needs, develops personalized treatment plans, and provides individual, couple, family or group therapy sessions to help clients address emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges, utilizing various therapeutic approaches to improve their overall well-being; requiring a Master's degree in counseling or a related field and a state-issued license to practice; working in an outpatient private practice setting; trauma and family specialties is preferred Key responsibilities may include:
Client Assessment:
Conducting comprehensive intake interviews to evaluate mental health needs, diagnose disorders, and identify treatment goals. Implementing interventions that support client reaching their goals and objectives
Treatment Planning:
Developing individualized treatment plans based on client needs, incorporating appropriate therapeutic interventions like cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, or psychodynamic therapy.
Individual Therapy:
Providing one-on-one counseling sessions to address issues like depression, anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, and life transitions.
Group Therapy:
Facilitating group therapy sessions for clients with similar concerns to promote peer support and shared learning.
Crisis Intervention:
Responding to urgent mental health crises and providing immediate support.
Collaboration:
Consulting with other healthcare professionals like psychiatrists, case managers, and primary care physicians to coordinate client care.
Documentation:
Maintaining accurate and detailed client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and billing information.
Ethical Practice:
Adhering to professional ethical guidelines and maintaining confidentiality.
Required Qualifications:
