Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our private practice outpatient team. The ideal candidate will provide evidence-based mental health services to diverse client populations, including children, youth, and adults. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering trauma-focused therapy, addiction counseling, and other therapeutic interventions. The therapist will utilize clinical documentation and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems to ensure comprehensive care and compliance with professional standards. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in clients' lives through behavioral health support in a supportive outpatient setting. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate clients' psychological needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide evidence-based therapy modalities, including trauma-focused therapy, addiction counseling, and child & youth therapy. Engage clients in behavioral health interventions tailored to their specific circumstances and goals. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation of sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes using EMR/EHR systems. Communicate effectively with clients to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship and support their mental health journey. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment delivery. Stay current with best practices in mental health treatment and incorporate evidence-based approaches into therapy sessions. Experience Prior experience working in outpatient mental health settings is preferred. Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles, trauma-informed care, and addiction counseling techniques. Experience conducting mental health assessments and developing effective treatment plans. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with clients across diverse backgrounds. Certification or licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent is highly desirable. Associate license individuals may be considered, but will engage in individual supervision weekly and group supervision monthly.
