In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their wellness goals through evidence-based practices. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to inform treatment planning. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy. Implement crisis intervention techniques to manage urgent situations effectively while ensuring client safety and well-being. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and patient care goals, updating records regularly in EMR/EHR systems. Engage in case management activities, including patient assessments, progress monitoring, and coordination with other healthcare providers for clients with co-occurring disorders or complex needs. Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines. Offer specialized counseling services such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, pediatric and child & youth therapy, autism spectrum disorder support, and gender issues counseling. Maintain detailed medical documentation and records using appropriate medical terminology while adhering to confidentiality standards. Participate in clinical research initiatives or data collection efforts to enhance treatment efficacy and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care that addresses physical health concerns like chronic pain or developmental disabilities. Experience Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings within behavioral health or mental health clinics. Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience conducting mental health assessments using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) and documenting clinical encounters according to medical documentation standards. Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and delivering services remotely while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, co-occurring disorders, or chronic pain conditions is highly desirable. Knowledge of crisis management techniques and behavior management strategies for diverse client populations. Ability to work effectively within clinical ethical guidelines while providing patient-centered care in a compassionate manner.
